If you have used third party networks like Adsense before, I want you to ask yourself a question: Did I get the amount that advertiser had paid for the ad space on my blog?

Let’s move to the second and most awaited part; how to do all that I just said above?
Well, there are many ways to find advertisers, here I am talking about some proven and effective ways.

Use your blog’s traffic to your benefit. There is a high chance that of all the traffic that your blog receives every day, many potential advertisers are looking for a perfect place for their advertisements.
Having an Advertise here page can work wonders. This page should contain everything that an advertiser needs to assess your blog and to decide to invest in your blog.
- Research relevant blogs in your niche
Every once a while, we visit the relevant blogs from our niche. Well, the next time you find yourself browsing through such blog, remember to check the kind of sponsors that blog has. This will ease the process of finding advertisers a bit. Once you know what sponsors other blogs are getting, you could approach them too. Since these sponsors are already investing in blogs from your niche, they might well be interested in sponsoring your blog too.
Reach them through the mail and maintain a list of all such sponsors and keep your approach positive. Another thing that’s in your favor is their experience in direct advertising.

Do a Google search for the keywords that you have used in your blog. Google will come up with some companies and links.
Find the relevant companies that you think you can work with and send them an email addressing your marketing package.
When dealing directly with the company, you should make sure that you do a complete research to understand what the company is about, the different services they offer and their mission.
Check if all these things are in alignment with the kind of services or posts your blog provides.
Follow up with another email to make sure they have received your introductory mail.

Other advertising programs like PPC, CPM and affiliates can also be approached for finding the direct advertisement. There are many such programs interested in offering direct advertisement.

This may seem like a lot of work. But guys, these methods help you to earn every penny of the amount that the advertiser pays by eliminating the brokers.
For beginners, advertising networks like Adsense, RevenueHits, Chitika and other are a good option to start with.
Anyone who does not want to spend his time finding advertisers feels advertising networks a great option. Fair enough!
